Frogs

G's antidote to losing to the French was to bring home a french hitchhiker. He stayed a week and was one of the most caring, friendly, charming guests I've ever had the pleasure to host. He works as a kindy teacher in France and was TREMENDOUS with the children. He's gone off to Dannevirke now but he left his tent so he will be back! Here's a photo he took of Izzie among the Christmas Trees.

Dragons!

Both kids are really into Dragons at the moment. Yesterday G was with them for the day and I got a call at work saying they were coming into town on a dragon hunt. When they arrived Bax was wearing one of those photographers vests with lots of pockets and he had collected all these dragon hunting things - he had a 'map', and special glasses and things like that. I printed out two sheets of paper with 'dragon' footprints on them and gave them to the kids saying they were "clues".

Which reminds me, Izzie and I were lying around last weekend taking photos of ourselves with my mobile. She stuck all three pops in her mouth and told me she was a Dragon!

Question

how does one get blood out of carpet?

musical boy

Bax and I went to a musical! Cats! With our friend Georgie. Bax was a little nervous at first but then he got right into it and clapped and whooped and whispered to me "This is so fun Mum"

At one point the whole audience was clapped furiously and I looked down at Bax and he was doing jazz hands above his head like the 'cats' on the stage!

Working

Bax had a turnaround this week. He threw two massive tantrums at the beginning of the week then on Monday afternoon he cam out of the fug. He disappeared into his room for an hour and when he reemerged he was dressed in a dress shirt and tie. He's never worn them before and later I found he had taken the ladder off his bunk and climbed up in his wardrobe to reach them down.

He then wore the shirt and tie for three days straight.

One day he even took the cellphone fridge magnet G and S gave him to kindy and 'talked on the phone' all day. Kindy also reported he had "gone to work" and "come home" all day at kindy too pretending to be a daddy who works in an office.

Then last night on the way home he announced "I don't have to wear a work shirt everday do I" and he ripped off the tie and undid his buttons and sat their in the back seat in his lime green singlet, smiling out the window.

What a funny lil chap!
